BELOW
Dr. Leslie Butterfield
is
CEO of TeleDerm Solutions, Inc., a telemedicine company focused
on providing online dermatology consulting to patients associated
with a wide range of healthcare organizations. The business is built
on collaborative Internet technology that connects physicians with
a network of trained dermatologists to allow patients quicker access
to specialists where these are not readily available. Leslie holds
a Ph.D. in communications and an M.A. in Design from the University of
Minnesota. In 1990 she co-founded a project management software
company, Texim Inc., which she sold to Houston-based Welcom Software
in 1992. After joining Welcom to run marketing for three years,
she was employed by BMC Software, a Forbes 500 system software company. Leslie
was a key player in building the marketing and Internet strategy
at BMC over her six-year tenure there. Before joining TeleDerm Solutions
in 2001, Dr. Butterfield was Vice President of Marketing for PowerBrief,
Inc. an ASP software developer for the legal industry. She was responsible
for business development, product and Internet strategy and all
aspects of marketing. Dr. Butterfield speaks at nationally
at technology conferences and is a 2001 recipient of the AWC
Top 20 Women in Computing Award
Kim Padgett
serves as the President of The Padgett Group, a strategic marketing
and public relations consulting firm.
Prior to founding The Padgett Group, Kim served as the Vice
President and General Manager of the Thompson Group, Houston Office,
responsible for developing, managing and providing services for
clients of the Houston and Dallas offices of the Thompson Group.
Kim was previously the Director of Public Relations and Communications
for Iconixx, a global e-business solution provider based in Virginia.
She managed all public relations and communications aspects for
the company including community relations and special events. Kim
brings more than 13 years of experience in the information technology
industry and public relations/marketing communications to her
role at the Padgett Group.
Kim has been nominated as one of the Top 20 Women in Computing
in Houston 2000.
