Entrepreneur Bios
Carter Caldwell co-founded and is President of
Quazant, a software development company whose product delivers
multiples in terms of performance improvements to transaction
systems in the financial services and wireless industries. This
performance improvement increases revenue capabilities by processing
more transactions per minute while also reducing the cost per
transaction. Quazant�s customers are able to leverage their
existing hardware investments while mitigating future hardware
needs. Prior to co-founding Quazant, Carter helped start and served
as Director of Corporate Development at Acorn Systems, a software
development and consulting company. He has also served in various
positions at J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns. At JP Morgan, Carter
was recognized for creating a novel software analysis tool, which
enabled JP Morgan�s institutional traders to make more informed
trading decisions. Carter also serves on the Steering Committee
of the Houston World Affairs Council, is a Secondary Committee
Member for the University of Pennsylvania Admissions Department,
and is a Career Advisor for University of Pennsylvania students.
Carter holds a B.A in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from
the University of Pennsylvania.
John Elder serves as the Executive Director of ResourceAllianceGroup
of Houston. As a long-time Houston entrepreneur, Elder serves
as the President of Devine & Christopher, a retained search
firm. He brings more than 20 years in entrepreneurial experience
and has founded the following companies: Elder Roof Systems, Branson/Elder,
Advocate Financial, Devine & Christopher, and member of the
founding team for EquipmentAuction.com. His responsibilities have
included direction, leadership and management of multimillion-dollar
organizations. He developed and implemented a state of the art
joint marketing program, which included hiring, training, coordination,
and motivation of a sales team. Elder also developed a pre-sale
marketing program for the fourth largest public insurance adjusting
firm in the United States. The program included educational seminars,
public speaking engagements, direct marketing and publication
of articles in major trade publications. His areas of experience
include finance, personnel, unions, legal issues, insurance matters,
real estate, banking, fundraising and strategic planning. Elder
received a BS in Finance from Creighton University. He was a founding
member of ResourceAllianceGroup and the Young Entrepreneurs Organization
Houston Chapter. He has served on the boards of the National Roofing
Contractors Association and Municipal Utility District No. 111,
and volunteered for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Center
for the Retarded and Youth 2000.
Damon Spiegel is CEO and Foudner of Mobile Design Technologies,
Inc., a provider of wireless and mobile solutions focused primarily
on providing mobile technologies to the healthcare industry specifically
targeting physicians. MDT's off the shelf product is MD Coder
a charge capture application allowing physicians to capture procedural
information at the point of care, while MDT's E&M Coder allows
physicians to document the patient encounter. Both are helping
the private practice as well as hospitla capture a significant
amount of charges that go uncollected each year. Damon has been
working in the wireless market for three years. Damon started
Mobile Design Technologies, Inc. (formerly Curon Technologies,
LLC) to fill the growing gap between emerging technologies and
healthcare. Curon Technologies focused exclusively on wireless
enterprise applications and handheld technology in the healthcare
sector. As CEO, Damon's role will be primarily focused on establishing
and managing the Company's strategic relationships with potential
equity partners. He will also determine the overall corporate
strategy and work closely with other management members in planning
the healthcare applications the company will bring to market.

Ph.D. is CEO and founder of Holland & Davis, Inc. (HDI), one
of the largest Regional business services firms in the Southwest.
He has worked as a management consultant since the 1970�s,
leading change initiatives in many Fortune 1000 companies in more
than two dozen industries. Dr. Holland was an advisor on industrial
innovation to the President and the Secretary of Commerce. Dutch
is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences
and has taught in executive education programs at Rice University,
the University of Houston, The University of Texas, and the Securities
Institute at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
