Sam Goodner
CEO
Catapult Systems Coporation
Sam Goodner is the founder and CEO of Catapult Systems Corp.
Sam holds a Computer Science degree from Texas A&M; University
and has a diverse international background in business development
and technology. Sam founded Catapult Systems in 1993 at age 26.
With over 100 employees, Catapult has grown to become one of the
leading providers of E-Business consulting in central Texas. Catapult
Systems made the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in
the country for two years in a row, and was recently ranked the
8th largest software company in Austin by the Austin Business
Journal. Despite its rapid growth, Catapult has remained private,
self-funded, and debt-free. In addition to its consulting business,
Catapult has also funded the development of its software product
division. Catapult's flagship product, Inquisite, was first introduced
in 1997 and is now the leading electronic survey system on the
market.
Greg Lavender
Director of Software Engineering, iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions
Sun Microsystems
Greg Lavender is currently Director of Software Engineering within
the iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions software business unit of Sun
Microsystems. He has 18 years experience in Internet technology
and software R&D.; In 1996 Greg co-founded Critical Angle to commercialize
software for large-scale Internet Directory Services. He bootstrapped
the company by making strategic OEM software licensing arrangements
with key early adopter companies such as Nokia, Bank of America,
Schlumberger, etc. Critical Angle was acquired in 1998 by Innosoft
International, an early OEM customer of Critical Angle. As VP
for Technology at Innosoft, Greg leveraged Innosoft's domestic
sales and international distributor channel to take the Critical
Angle software products mainstream, doubling Innosoft's gross
revenue and profitability in 18 months. Innosoft was acquired
in March 2000 by Sun Microsystems. Greg currently has P&L; responsibility
for $100M in product license revenue for Internet Directory Services
at Sun.
